Restricted release days
Restricted release day is the day before results day:
- Wednesday 12 August 2026 for AS, A-level, Applied General,
Level 3 Certificate, Level 3 Extended Project.
- Wednesday 19 August 2026 for GCSE, Level 2 Certificate, ELC, FCSE, Level 1 and Level 2 Projects.
On restricted release day, exams office staff can access results and grade boundaries from 12:01am on EDI A2C and Centre Services.
If your Head of Centre and other senior staff members nominated by them, need early access to results, you can give them access by assigning them the 'Centre Results Early Read' role on Centre Services.
All other users should only have access to results from 8:00am on results day. Please make sure that you check all your users' permissions on Centre Services, to make sure that no-one has permissions for 'Centre Results Early Read' by mistake.
You must not share results, grade boundaries or any information about results before 8:00am on results days with teachers, learners or parents. Not complying with these confidentiality requirements will be treated as malpractice and will be investigated.
Results days
Schools and colleges can then issue results to learners from 8.00am on:
- Thursday 13 August 2026 for AS, A-level, Applied General, Level 3 Certificate, Level 3 Extended Project.
- Thursday 20 August 2026 for GCSE, Level 2 Certificate, ELC, FCSE, Level 1 and Level 2 Projects.
Grade boundaries will be published on our website at 8.00am on results day.
To help prepare for results day, please check that you can access Centre Services and let us know of any phone number or email changes before then. You can do this by emailing eos@aqa.org.uk or calling 0800 197 7162. Please also check, where necessary, that you can receive results on EDI.
Centre Services administration
We’ll need written (by email) confirmation from your existing Centre Services Administrator or your Head of Centre if you need to make any of the following changes in Centre Services:
- changing a Centre Services administrator (a person at your school/college with main administrator permissions)
- adding an additional administrator to Centre Services
- changing the email address that the main administrator(s) logs into Centre Services with.
You can find out more about this process, and what steps you need to take, on our website.
Allowing teachers to see results in Centre Services
As Centre Services administrator, you’ll also need to give permission to teachers so they can see results in Centre Services on results day – without this they will not be able to see them or use Data Insights. Take care to only give them 'Centre Results Read' and not 'Centre Results Early Read'.
You can give teachers permission by following the steps below:
- log into Centre Services
- click ‘Manage User Roles’
- find the user you’d like to grant permission to, and click edit against their name
- click into the roles box and select ‘Centre Results Read’
- click ‘Save'.
